Living with the Subaquatic Through Dialogue, Accompaniment and Care in the Work of Robertina Šebjanič

Publication

The text was developed during the work on the project Linija | +1233 m –1233 m and accompanies the sound work and installation by artist Robertina Šebjanič. Extending vertically from deep below the sea surface to above it, the project explores relationships between humans and underwater worlds.

The reflection focuses on concepts of dialogue, companionship, and care, situating them within contemporary ecological and technological relations. The text opens questions about listening to the sea, ethical relations to more-than-human environments, and sonic ways of establishing proximity and responsibility.
