Colin Black

An internationally acclaimed sound artist and recipient of the Prix Phonurgia Nova Awards, New York Festivals Awards, and Prix Italia Award. He has received numerous national and international commissions for major works in installation, performance, and broadcast across Australia, the United States, and Europe. He completed his PhD at the University of Sydney and currently works as an adjunct lecturer and visiting research fellow.

Marko Batista

A Ljubljana-based intermedia artist working with audio-visual experimentation. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and completed his MA at Central Saint Martins in London. His practice operates at the intersection of art and science, and his work has been presented internationally at venues and festivals such as Ars Electronica, the Istanbul Biennial, Transmediale, and NET. Audio London, as well as in galleries and museums in Slovenia and abroad. He has collaborated with Cona for many years.

Jata C

An artistic group whose members share an interest in field recordings, bioacoustics, and sound ecology. Their research combines auditory perception with ecological and social issues, developed through scientific discourse and original sonic representations of environments. In their works, recordings from immediate surroundings are transformed into speculative projections of the future and attentive perceptions of the present.

Robertina Šebjanič

An artist whose work explores the biological, (geo)political and cultural realities of aquatic environments and the impact of humanity on other organisms. Her projects call for the development of empathetic strategies aimed at recognising other, non-human species. In her analysis of the Anthropocene and its theoretical framework, she uses the terms “aquatocene” and “aquaforming” to refer to human impact on aquatic environments. Her works received awards and nominations at Prix Ars Electronica, STARTS Prize, and Falling Walls.
