Exercises in Listenig to the Inaudible

Publication

The text was developed within the project Acoustic Commons and examines relationships to place, its sonic qualities, and the ways listening shapes spatial understanding. Through conversations with artists, the text explores diverse approaches to listening and working with sound.

Emphasis is placed on the political, ecological, and bodily dimensions of listening. Sonic location is not understood merely as information about environmental conditions, but as a carrier of social and political belonging. The text reflects on community, presence, and the ethics of listening in contemporary contexts.
