Jasmina Založnik

Escaping Accelerated Reality

Lecture

By addressing the propaganda of progress, consumption and self-referentiality, Jasmina Založnik engages in a conversation about the performativity of walking in the context of art.

She approaches the sound walk as a form that evades the spectacularity of art products, foregrounding difference and play with unpredictability and chance, the slowing down of everyday rhythms, experientiality and embodiment, the relationship between the external and the internal, and the shift from a monological to a dialogical form as a possible platform for inclusivity and ethics.
