The Bird Sounds of the Salines

Peripatetic lecture

Moving slowly downstream the Dragonja River towards its mouth at the sea, participants become acquainted with the habitat of the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, its importance for conservation, the bird species commonly encountered there, and methods for identifying their characteristic songs.

Through walking and listening, the project brings together field observation, acoustic perception and ecological knowledge, creating space for a deeper understanding of the relationship between landscape, sound and biodiversity.
