But what if we listen to them?
The text was developed within the cross-species music cycle AnimotMUZIK, which understands sound as a medium for building relationships with non-human animals and for questioning established modes of musical expression. It is grounded in the belief that listening can foster more inclusive, compassionate, and sonically rich forms of coexistence.
The focus is on improvisational practices in which musicians respond to sonic materials produced by non-human animals, developing individual and collective sonic interpretations through attentive listening and interaction. The text addresses questions of intuitive creation, interspecies ethics, and openness within artistic processes.
