The Museum and Heritage of Saltworking
During a visit to the Museum of Salt-Making, visitors are introduced to the history and heritage of salt production, as well as to the development of traditional knowledge, practices and the everyday labour of saltworkers. The presentation also highlights the founding of the museum as a guardian of tangible and intangible heritage, and traces changes in its role over time, in dialogue with the natural environment, landscape conservation and contemporary approaches to heritage preservation.
