Open Call for the Production of New Sound Walks 2027

The sound walk opens up a space for artistic practices that engage with the landscape through listening and walking.

We invite proposals for sound and audio walks, in situ listening practices, walking performances, deep listening practices, peripatetic lectures, and other formats that approach listening as a way of encountering place.

We welcome applications from artists whose work explores walking, silence, and ways of coexisting with landscapes, their stories, and more-than-human beings.

The proposed project should include a concept for a final sound-based, listening, or performative walk at a selected location, together with the descriptions required in the open call. We particularly welcome collaborations with artists who wish to develop their project together with the Cona team, follow its work, and have already experienced a sound walk as an audience member or participated in one as an artist.

The application deadline is 25 October 2026.
