Acoustic Commons

Audio streaming linking communities and environments

Partners: Cona (SI), Full of Noises (UK), Locus Sonus (FR), SoundCamp (UK); associated partners:
Hellenic Mediterranean University (GR) in Cyberforest (JP).

Funders: European Union, Creative Europe programme and Ministry of Public Administration RS.

The project was based on long-term collaboration and a shared understanding of research, artistic, and environmental practices. It established a network of live environmental sound streams, an interactive soundscape map, and developed open microphones and digital tools for real-time sound capture, archiving, and sharing. The project connected artists, scientists, engineers, and the wider public, contributing to the advancement of artistic, research, and ecological listening practices.
