A new Season Walks edition is coming soon

News

Season Walks is a curated series of artistic works that place attentive listening, of landscapes, spaces, temporalities, and the dynamic relations among all inhabitants, at the center of the creative experience. This unique form of artistic production weaves together acoustic ecology, musical composition, walking, and focused environmental perception.

Allja Petric: GLASnaPOT
Luka Uršič: Pod(hod)
Urša Sekirnik and Aja Zupanec: Srečanje (working title)
Neža Knez: Sledim
Oka and Jaka Bombač: Telesa vode

This year, we are presenting three new soundwalks:

Allja Petric: GLASnaPOT

The voice creates a unique composition every day, shaped through the complex instrument of our body. Through a multilayered structure of mostly improvised responses to the many stimuli we are exposed to in daily and specific situations, a unique composition emerges that follows the individual paths of each person’s movement. The voice, even when not expressed, lives within the inner silence of the individual and becomes audible only through a conscious decision. It then fluidly shifts between different roles: communication, warning, conveying messages, expression of power, creation, social connection, calming, and as a therapeutic tool.

Urša Sekirnik and Aja Zupanec: Srečanje (working title)

Standing here in the middle of the city, it seems as though people are rushing past us along countless passing routes that never intersect. And yet, this is not always the case. Cities are not only places of mindless rushing past one another, they are also spaces of many different kinds of encounters. The walk we propose is one such encounter.

Luka Uršič: Pod(hod)

This sound walk guides listeners through Ljubljana’s underpasses, transitional spaces that are often neglected and thus become shelters for the unheard at the margins of society. Through real-time sound capture and processing, everyday noises, silences, footsteps, and echoes are transformed into a shared, immersive sonic experience of space. Listening closely to these dark, abandoned passages opens a space for what has remained unspoken and reveals moments of unexpected beauty. It recalls the human capacity to reshape perception and one’s relationship to the world through listening, within which we coexist.
