Open Call for Applications for the International CENSE symposium

News

The application deadline is 31 May.

From 14 to 18 October 2026, the international CENSE symposium titled Beyond Listening: Re-Sounding Rights of Naturewill take place at Nadbałtyckie Centrum Kultury in Gdańsk, Poland.

The four-day programme will bring together artists, nature conservation activists, researchers, theorists, and various groups and collectives whose works, contributions, and reflections will engage with this year’s central theme: the Rights of Nature movement.

The symposium opens up a space for reflection on listening, sound ecologies, artistic practices, and environmental questions at a time when relationships between humans, nature, and more-than-human worlds call for new forms of attention, responsibility, and collaboration.
