Job shadowin visit by Martina Valášková from Muzeum Prahy

Between 25 May and 1 June, Cona hosted Martina Valášková from Muzeum Prahy, who joined us as part of the Erasmus+ job shadowing programme.

Her visit was dedicated to learning about the work of Zavod Cona, our production processes, programme directions and ways of developing projects in the field of sound art. The exchange of knowledge, experience and perspectives on the production of sound walks, audience engagement and the broader work of artistic institutions that connect art, space, listening and the public was especially valuable.

At Muzeum Prahy, Martina Valášková works in the field of museum programmes, education and production, and is also involved in the development of audio-based content. Her experience therefore connected closely with our work, particularly with questions of how listening can become a way of exploring space, communities and cultural heritage.

During her visit, we presented Cona’s current projects, the production background of sound walks, practices of collaborating with artists, and the ways in which we develop programmes at the intersection of sound art, ecology and space. The visit also enabled an open conversation about similarities and differences between institutional environments in Slovenia and the Czech Republic, as well as possibilities for further international cooperation.

We are grateful for her visit, open dialogue, exchange of knowledge and all the support she contributed to our work. Such encounters are valuable, as they enable connections between related institutions, the transfer of experience and the strengthening of international cooperation in the field of culture.
