Globoka hiša at This Year’s Ljubljana Art Weekend
The work Globoka hiša by Irena Pivka and Brane Zorman is part of this year’s Ljubljana Art Weekend. The sound walk guides visitors through the interior and surroundings of Cankarjev dom, offering a new perspective on the architecture of Edvard Ravnikar, the history of the building’s construction, and its place within the contemporary urban landscape.
Through a layered audio narrative, the project intertwines quotations from architects, politicians, and cultural figures connected to the construction of Cankarjev dom with poetry, dramatic texts, and sound composition. Deep House is therefore not only a walk through architecture, but also a journey through ideas, historical contexts, and the collective memory of the space.
The work subtly explores the relationship between architecture, sound, and storytelling, inviting visitors to experience the space beyond its visual dimension. The sound walk will take place on May 24 at 17.00 at Cankarjev dom.
