Cona in Bohinj with Sound Events and a Sound Walk
In collaboration with Turizem Bohinj, Cona will present two events from the AnimotMUZIK series and the sound walk Listening-with Meadows by Irene Pivka in Bohinj on 29 and 30 May 2026.
On Friday, 29 May, the programme will feature a bird eco-concert (Aves), exploring the co-creation of music with birds and listening to the sonic environment as a space of interspecies encounter. On Saturday, 30 May, this will be followed by an eco-concert with cattle (Bos taurus), in which Alpine cattle will be included in the concert experience for the first time. The project brings together Tea Vidmar, Alja Petric, Kristijan Krajnčan and Brane Zorman. The programme is further complemented by an introductory ornithological walk by DOPPS and a talk by Lucija Gartner on the life of cattle and their communication.
Also on Saturday, 30 May, at 8.00 am, the sound walk Listening-with Meadows will take place in Stara Fužina. The work invites visitors to engage in attentive listening to meadows, the sonic traces of wild nature, and the acoustic ecology emerging from the interplay of nature and cultural landscape.
This collaborative programme between Cona and Turizem Bohinj opens up a different way of experiencing landscape — through listening, sound art, and sensitive relationships between people, animals, and the environment.
