garden GOround at the ST+ART Fair in Strasbourg

News

For 26 years, ST-ART Strasbourg has been one of the leading modern art and design fairs in the region. Over time, the event has become a highlight in the art market’s calendar, thanks to the quality of the pieces exhibited and the diversity of the collectors who attend. ST-ART is all about starting up and stepping stones, and that’s where it has forged its reputation: The start of big things may well lie in Strasbourg for many galleries, artists or collections. Located just a stone’s through from the headquarters of the European Parliament, the contemporary art fair is hosted in a region boasting rich culture, composed of the HEAR (Haute École des Arts du Rhin), the FRAC (based in Sélestat), and the Apollonia European art centre, thriving in the heart of Europe. An observatory of trends, the ST-ART fair is now hosted at the new Strasbourg Exhibition Centre, which is a magnificent venue designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, winner of the prestigious Global Award for Sustainable Architecture.

VITAL is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme by the three-year “Strasbourg European Capital” Contract and supported by the Ministry of Public Administration of the Republic of Slovenia and the City of Ljubljana, Departmen of Culture.
