September 2024 – July 2026
The Sejalke project addresses urgent ecological challenges faced by modern society and explores how cultural events can contribute to reducing negative environmental impacts. At the heart of the project is the effort to organize the TO)pot festival in a more sustainable way, where artistic and social practices highlight issues such as carbon footprint, noise pollution, and ecological responsibility.
The significance of the project stems from the understanding that cultural events are not isolated from environmental issues but can actively drive change. Sejalke brings together artists, audiences, and organizers to reflect on the problem of noise pollution, which affects all living organisms and alters the natural soundscape.
By actively involving artists, the public, and cultural workers, the Sejalke project encourages reflection on our ecological impact and offers an opportunity for collective thinking about how small changes in our practices can contribute to a more sustainable future.
The porject is cofinanced by The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.
