TO)pot

TO)pot is a festival of sound walks, concerts and reflections that brings together artistic and research-based practices into an immersive experience of listening to landscapes. Through walking as an artistic practice, the festival reflects on relationships between space, time, and human as well as more-than-human entities.

The featured artworks and lectures address questions of acoustic ecology and open reflections on temporality, memory, and adaptation within environments shaped by political, economic, ecological, and social transformations. Particular attention is given to the multitemporality of places and to exploring modes of coexistence that assume new roles and meanings over time.

TO)pot festival invites attentive listening and reflection on how we live with spaces, how we come to understand them more deeply, and how we remain in relationship with them even when they become (in)hospitable or unfamiliar.. It foregrounds mutual care, interdependence, and the entanglement of human and more-than-human actors as foundational conditions for a shared future.

Since 2021, the festival has taken place annually as a concentrated programme in early autumn. It offers explorations of both familiar and lesser-known spaces, sites, and pathways, inviting participants to experience them in entirely new ways. The festival takes place at the venues of Cukrarna, its co-producer, as well as at selected outdoor locations, and each year collaborates with a diverse network of partner organisations.
