SO.UND.ING Acousmonium: Octa-Fusion
17–18 March 2025
Kino Šiška, Komuna hall
Octa-Fusion is a two-day acousmatic event offering a unique sonic experience in an octaphonic environment. Curators Brane Zorman and Patrick K.-H. [Anton Iakhontov], together with invited sound artists, present electroacoustic compositions in acousmatic performance.
The programme brings together premieres and archival works, creating a dialogue between local and international practices of spatial sound. Special guests expand the perspective with distinctive approaches to sound, diffusion, and form.
An integral part of the event is the Acousmonium Listening Session with a curated selection of key works from the recent and historical repertoire of spatial sound composition. Octa-Fusion is embedded in the long-running SO.UND.ING Acousmonium project, which commissions new spatial works and strengthens Slovenia’s role within the wider acousmatic music scene.
