Landscape_people

Concert

Can people become landscapes? Ancestral mountains, mother-streams, father-oaks. Do familiar places and familiar people merge in the mind? And is the landscape truly silent?

Landscape_people is a cycle of Ukrainian folklore songs, expanded into the field of electroacoustic sound. The sounds were created in collaboration with Liubov Plavska, a Ukrainian ceramic artist, instrument inventor, and singer. Each song is dedicated to an area where the artist once lived. The sound of the voice forms the main line of the landscape, with everything around gravitating towards it.
