Inaudible – Audible, among the Bats
CURRENT EVENTS
The bioacoustic sound sculpture Inaudible – Audible, among the Bats reveals an almost inaudible world of frequency ranges emitted by bats that are usually inaccessible to humans. The project is positioned between sound ecology and bioacoustic music, as it processes the sounds of the night environment and bats from the ultrasonic spectrum and transposes them into the human audible range.
The composition consists of audible night sounds, joined by transposed bat voices and other nocturnal sound sources. The final sound space consists of an inner – castle, distant forest and central space, represented by the external platform surrounding the castle. The composition includes electroacoustic processing of the sound material and is played as a spatial, 3D or 360-degree sound projection.

A musician, composer and sound space designer who creates experimental and electroacoustic music. He is particularly interested in bioacoustic music, which is based on the sounds of animals, especially insects, and the connection between science and art. He collaborates with the groups SAETA and Jata C and the duo BBtrem, as well as creates music for film, theatre, performances, multimedia installations, museums and galleries. In 2013, he received the honorary Valvasor Award for his work in the field of sound spaces for museum installations.
