soundwalk in_situ performance
Thursday 26, Friday 27 Aug 2021 at 7p.m.
Saturday 28, Sunday 29 Aug at 6p.m.
Notranjska regional park, Cerknica, Slovenia
production of Cerknica Culture House
To participate, send an email to info@kd-cerknica.si

A dystopian story of Earthling Gaia recounts a possible future of the Lake Cerknica area. We experience the sound performance while walking a selected part of the Drvošec trail. We stop at the observation posts, observe the lake, experience the forest and, above all, listen. Earthling Gaia, a girl as a metaphor and the main character of the performance, will speculate on a potential scenario of the future of our overstrained planet which indisputably dictates the development of the local landscape.

Open microphone Rožnik Hill

Cona set up its first open microphone in April, in collaboration with the Tivoli, Rožnik and Šiška Hill Landscape Park. The installation is part of a broader, international project under the guidance of the Acoustic Commons network.

Acoustic Commons presents five new permanent live environmental audio streams that draw attention to the unique sounds of particular places across Europe and beyond. Sited in tucked-away corners of London, Ljubljana, Cumbria, Crete and AiMarseille. Launching in April 2021, the streams are available to listen to at Acoustic Commons website and the Locus Sonus sound map.
